Primary route – the standards for entry via this route to RCT registration are contained in the:-

• Scope of Practice which list the specialised tasks which the technologist must be competent to carry out;
• The Degree Programme in Clinical Technology for the indicative knowledge on which these skills are based.
• Education and Training for those following the primary route to registration.

Equivalence route – the standards for entry via this route to RCT registration, which match those in the Scope of Practice, are contained in the:-

• The RCT Equivalence Standards – Engineering or
• The RCT Equivalence Standards – Physics and
• Good Scientific Practice
