The RCT Management Board

The RCT is run by the RCT Management Board. Its members are:

  • The Registrar
  • The Assistant Registrar
  • Two named representatives from each of the professional organisations that manage the RCT: the Association of Renal Technologists (ART), the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) and the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM)
  • Two representatives elected by RCT registrants
  • Two lay members

What the Board does

The Board is responsible for all aspects of managing the register. It oversees the assessment and approval of applications, and reviews and updates the registration criteria, processes and documents. An administrative team at the IPEM office supports the Board.

The Board promotes the RCT to the Department of Health and other government agencies, the Health and Care Professions Council, professional bodies, educational establishments and the medical device industry.
